Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 2.18% or 0.150 points to trade at 7.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.84% or 0.45 points to end at 24.88 and Leonardo Finmeccanica SpA (MI:LDOF) was up 1.31% or 0.160 points to 12.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII), which fell 4.72% or 0.0168 points to trade at 0.3391 at the close. Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) declined 4.26% or 0.096 points to end at 2.160 and Unicredit (MI:CRDI) was down 4.19% or 0.0920 points to 2.1020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 246 to 154 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.15% or 0.07 to $45.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1226.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.0703, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8592.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 100.27.
