Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were Tenaris (MILAN:TENR), which rose 1.95% or 0.26 points to trade at 13.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Azimut Holding (MILAN:AZMT) added 1.65% or 0.45 points to end at 27.77 and CNH Industrial NV (MILAN:CNHI) was up 1.56% or 0.125 points to 8.145 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MILAN:BMPS), which fell 3.05% or 0.2950 points to trade at 9.3800 at the close. Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MILAN:PMII) declined 1.99% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.9360 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MILAN:EMII) was down 1.81% or 0.145 points to 7.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 239 to 232 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.05% or 1.80 to $60.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.56% or 1.67 to hit $66.69 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.30 to trade at $1204.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1125, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57% to 0.7099.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 95.36.
