Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Generali (MI:GASI), which rose 3.74% or 0.42 points to trade at 11.65 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 3.34% or 0.058 points to end at 1.792 and Unipol (MI:UNPI) was up 3.30% or 0.092 points to 2.876 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Luxottica Group (MI:LUX), which fell 3.30% or 1.64 points to trade at 48.00 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 2.85% or 0.42 points to end at 14.31 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was down 2.71% or 0.40 points to 14.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 259 to 144 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.60% or 0.77 to $47.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1212.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0625, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.8558.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 101.11.
