Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group (MILAN:LUX), which rose 4.35% or 2.55 points to trade at 61.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox (MILAN:YOOX) added 3.51% or 0.96 points to end at 28.30 and Buzzi Unicem (MILAN:BZU) was up 3.28% or 0.51 points to 16.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pirelli & C (MILAN:PECI), which fell 0.33% or 0.0500 points to trade at 15.0400 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MILAN:FCHA) declined 0.31% or 0.0400 points to end at 12.7200 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER) was down 0.17% or 0.04 points to 23.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 269 to 169 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.87% or 1.29 to $46.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.93% or 0.92 to hit $48.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.41% or 4.70 to trade at $1133.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.80% to 1.1209, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.7229.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 95.92.
