Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 2.24% or 0.62 points to trade at 28.31 at the close. Meanwhile, ENI (MI:ENI) added 1.95% or 0.2600 points to end at 13.6100 and Saipem (MI:SPMI) was up 1.79% or 0.0073 points to 0.4160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO), which fell 1.19% or 0.0260 points to trade at 2.1660 at the close. Generali (MI:GASI) declined 1.06% or 0.1200 points to end at 11.1900 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) was down 0.65% or 0.04 points to 5.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 233 to 131 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $47.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1326.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1232, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8538.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 95.18.
