Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII), which rose 4.37% or 0.0152 points to trade at 0.3628 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) added 2.31% or 0.0480 points to end at 2.1240 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was up 1.83% or 0.0400 points to 2.2200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which fell 2.04% or 0.0083 points to trade at 0.3977 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 1.55% or 0.2000 points to end at 12.6700 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was down 1.42% or 0.095 points to 6.605.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 196 to 188 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.87% or 1.41 to $47.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.91% or 1.48 to hit $49.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.55 to trade at $1343.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1319, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.8615.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.53.
