Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB added 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were Tenaris (MILAN:TENR), which rose 3.60% or 0.42 points to trade at 12.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Popolare Sc (MILAN:BAPO) added 3.56% or 0.5500 points to end at 16.0000 and Atlantia (MILAN:ATL) was up 2.22% or 0.54 points to 24.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enel Green Power (MILAN:EGPW), which fell 0.27% or 0.005 points to trade at 1.879 at the close. Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER) declined 0.13% or 0.04 points to end at 30.19 and Saipem (MILAN:SPMI) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 7.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 300 to 156 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.82% or 0.80 to $44.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.68% or 1.32 to hit $50.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.05% or 11.50 to trade at $1105.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.0997, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.7055.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 97.36.
