Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB added 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were CNH Industrial NV (MILAN:CNHI), which rose 5.64% or 0.430 points to trade at 8.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MILAN:PMII) added 2.78% or 0.0255 points to end at 0.9440 and Finmeccanica (MILAN:SIFI) was up 2.27% or 0.250 points to 11.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER), which fell 1.25% or 0.34 points to trade at 26.91 at the close. Terna (MILAN:TRN) declined 0.81% or 0.034 points to end at 4.148 and Tenaris (MILAN:TENR) was down 0.81% or 0.10 points to 12.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 312 to 148 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.07% or 1.26 to $59.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.56% or 1.65 to hit $62.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1202.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1339, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.7143.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 94.39.
