Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were Mediaset (MILAN:MS), which rose 2.25% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.538 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MILAN:PRY) added 1.73% or 0.35 points to end at 20.58 and Finmeccanica (MILAN:SIFI) was up 1.42% or 0.170 points to 12.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo (MILAN:SFER), which fell 2.00% or 0.58 points to trade at 28.42 at the close. Banco Popolare Sc (MILAN:BAPO) declined 1.28% or 0.2000 points to end at 15.3900 and Campari (MILAN:CPRI) was down 1.13% or 0.08 points to 6.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 246 to 223 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.93% or 1.18 to $60.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.07% or 1.35 to hit $64.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.60 to trade at $1187.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.01% to 1.1265, while EUR/GBP rose 1.07% to 0.7345.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.64% at 95.38.
