Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 1.66%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 0.73% or 220 points to trade at 30160 at the close. Meanwhile, Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 0.41% or 230 points to end at 57000 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was up 0.39% or 19 points to 4900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 15.93% or 43.0 points to trade at 226.9 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 15.12% or 214 points to end at 1201 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 11.90% or 12500 points to 92500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 217 to 107 and 126 ended unchanged.
Shares in Avner L (TA:AVNRp) fell to 52-week lows; down 15.93% or 43.0 to 226.9. Shares in Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) fell to 52-week lows; falling 15.12% or 214 to 1201.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.92% or 0.87 to $44.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.31% or 1.16 to hit $48.90 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.80 to trade at $1131.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.17% to 3.9358, while EUR/ILS rose 0.61% to 4.4125.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.08.
