Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 2.32% or 111 points to trade at 4891 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.63% or 250 points to end at 15550 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 1.13% or 190 points to 16950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 2.84% or 19.1 points to trade at 653.0 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) declined 2.12% or 173.00 points to end at 7988.00 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 2.10% or 310 points to 14450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 225 to 114 and 116 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.14% or 1.28 to $58.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.22% or 1.46 to hit $64.06 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.31% or 15.80 to trade at $1189.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.32% to 3.8834, while EUR/ILS fell 0.37% to 4.2333.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.81% at 97.25.
