Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 1.75% or 660 points to trade at 38350 at the close. Meanwhile, Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 1.23% or 3.0 points to end at 247.0 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 1.05% or 14 points to 1350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 2.73% or 20.6 points to trade at 734.4 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 2.35% or 147 points to end at 6115 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 1.89% or 72 points to 3728.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 190 to 135 and 119 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.23% or 0.62 to $50.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.40% or 0.72 to hit $52.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.35% or 16.80 to trade at $1263.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.8280, while EUR/ILS rose 0.04% to 4.3620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 93.52.
