Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 0.74% or 27 points to trade at 3661 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 0.40% or 150 points to end at 37450 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 0.06% or 10 points to 16250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 1.80% or 1090 points to trade at 59310 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.57% or 57 points to end at 3580 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was down 1.13% or 3.0 points to 262.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 195 to 137 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $50.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.39% or 0.20 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 4.05 to trade at $1269.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.24% to 3.8377, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.1890.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 98.50.
