Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 3.16% or 2.3 points to trade at 75.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 1.26% or 1300 points to end at 104600 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 2.15% or 33 points to 1567 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 3.28% or 530 points to trade at 15620 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 2.81% or 143 points to end at 4937 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.95% or 14.0 points to 703.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 224 to 119 and 114 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.77% or 1.07 to $61.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.83% or 1.24 to hit $68.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.40 to trade at $1188.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.38% to 3.8565, while EUR/ILS rose 1.13% to 4.3788.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.25% at 94.08.
