Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 2.22% or 1550 points to trade at 71500 at the close. Meanwhile, Discount (TA:DSCT) added 1.32% or 9.7 points to end at 742.5 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.12% or 66 points to 5954 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which fell 3.98% or 188 points to trade at 4539 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 3.72% or 530 points to end at 13700 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was down 2.42% or 380 points to 15310.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 197 to 132 and 124 ended unchanged.
Shares in Discount (TA:DSCT) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.32% or 9.7 to 742.5.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.79% or 0.48 to $60.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.19% or 0.76 to hit $64.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.50 to trade at $1177.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.35% to 3.7665, while EUR/ILS fell 1.75% to 4.2114.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.06% at 95.52.
