Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 1.67% or 55 points to trade at 3340 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) added 1.23% or 8.8 points to end at 723.8 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.15% or 440 points to 38700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 4.50% or 166 points to trade at 3523 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.91% or 1990 points to end at 66400 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 1.68% or 22 points to 1288.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 200 to 131 and 113 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.35% or 0.66 to $48.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.59% or 0.80 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1289.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.42% to 3.8758, while EUR/ILS fell 0.33% to 4.3446.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.59% at 94.98.
