Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 3.64% or 1300 points to trade at 37050 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 3.06% or 590 points to end at 19890 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 2.69% or 400 points to 15280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 3.60% or 2390 points to trade at 64070 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 1.83% or 25 points to end at 1344 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was down 1.81% or 30 points to 1625.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 188 to 147 and 117 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.23% or 1.34 to $40.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.66% or 1.11 to hit $40.68 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.03% or 25.30 to trade at $1223.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.8364, while EUR/ILS fell 0.46% to 4.2877.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 96.12.
