Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 1.28% or 440 points to trade at 34730 at the close. Meanwhile, Poalim (TA:POLI) added 1.19% or 25 points to end at 2118 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 0.69% or 10 points to 1461 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 1.47% or 1170 points to trade at 78400 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.32% or 46 points to end at 3450 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was down 1.26% or 250 points to 19520.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 193 to 164 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in Poalim (TA:POLI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.19% or 25 to 2118.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.43% or 0.19 to $44.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.89% or 0.90 to hit $46.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.38% or 18.25 to trade at $1344.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.34% to 3.7532, while EUR/ILS rose 0.44% to 4.2183.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.91.
