Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.71% or 112 points to trade at 4250 at the close. Meanwhile, Nice (TA:NICE) added 2.50% or 590 points to end at 24190 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) was up 2.44% or 800 points to 33600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 2.46% or 2230 points to trade at 88480 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.76% or 36 points to end at 2006 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was down 1.15% or 660 points to 56940.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 204 to 129 and 118 ended unchanged.
Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.46% or 2230 to 88480. Shares in Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) rose to all time highs; up 2.44% or 800 to 33600.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.72% or 0.72 to $41.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.65% or 0.73 to hit $43.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.81% or 8.80 to trade at $1074.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.24% to 3.9066, while EUR/ILS fell 0.10% to 4.1610.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 99.71.
