Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 4.83% or 1870 points to trade at 40570 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.62% or 57 points to end at 3580 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.33% or 220 points to 16710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 1.43% or 950 points to trade at 65450 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.29% or 20 points to end at 1536 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was down 0.95% or 43 points to 4487.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 179 to 146 and 119 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.29% or 0.14 to $48.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.38 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1285.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.16% to 3.8710, while EUR/ILS rose 0.06% to 4.3477.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.80.
