Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 2.73% or 1000 points to trade at 37600 at the close. Meanwhile, Poalim (TA:POLI) added 2.50% or 51 points to end at 2093 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 2.04% or 29 points to 1451 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 1.71% or 1200 points to trade at 68830 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 0.72% or 1.9 points to end at 261.1 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 0.65% or 23 points to 3496.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 213 to 150 and 84 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.95% or 0.86 to $45.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.92% or 0.43 to hit $47.26 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.90 to trade at $1330.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7652, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.1949.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.82.
