Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 3.54% or 52 points to trade at 1522 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 2.96% or 440 points to end at 15290 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.86% or 410 points to 14740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which fell 2.64% or 1580 points to trade at 58260 at the close. Migdal Insurance (TA:MGDL) declined 1.71% or 8.3 points to end at 476.0 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was down 1.51% or 42 points to 2738.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 209 to 143 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leumi (TA:LUMI) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.54% or 52 to 1522.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.73% or 0.99 to $58.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.87% or 0.56 to hit $64.00 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.82% or 9.90 to trade at $1193.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.59% to 3.9401, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.2369.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 98.02.
