Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN), which rose 3.34% or 264.00 points to trade at 8159.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 2.87% or 44 points to end at 1579 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 2.30% or 48 points to 2136 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which fell 1.49% or 98 points to trade at 6462 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 1.32% or 210 points to end at 15700 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 0.89% or 71 points to 7950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 192 to 138 and 123 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leumi (TA:LUMI) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.87% or 44 to 1579. Shares in Poalim (TA:POLI) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.30% or 48 to 2136.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.69% or 1.04 to $60.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.59% or 1.04 to hit $64.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.68% or 8.10 to trade at $1178.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.8257, while EUR/ILS fell 0.58% to 4.2974.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 95.22.
