Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 4.78% or 1100 points to trade at 24090 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 2.78% or 390 points to end at 14400 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 2.74% or 219 points to 8225 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 3.97% or 620 points to trade at 15000 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 3.54% or 570 points to end at 15540 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 2.22% or 330 points to 14560.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 244 to 99 and 114 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.71% or 1.65 to $59.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.32% or 1.57 to hit $66.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.20 to trade at $1182.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.8630, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 4.3507.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.64% at 94.80.
