Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.50% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Osem (TA:OSEM), which rose 2.52% or 207 points to trade at 8420 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 2.43% or 137 points to end at 5775 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 2.37% or 17.2 points to 744.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which fell 2.98% or 470 points to trade at 15280 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 2.13% or 61 points to end at 2799 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was down 2.03% or 310 points to 14950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 208 to 154 and 95 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.35% or 0.18 to $51.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.63% or 0.37 to hit $59.32 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.40 to trade at $1199.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.9899, while EUR/ILS fell 0.22% to 4.2189.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 99.81.
