Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.89% or 560 points to trade at 19970 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 2.51% or 142 points to end at 5806 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.26% or 21 points to 1689 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which fell 1.30% or 14 points to trade at 1065 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) declined 1.26% or 8.0 points to end at 627.0 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was down 0.94% or 13 points to 1372.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 216 to 132 and 105 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.24% or 0.10 to $41.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.34% or 0.15 to hit $44.33 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.18% or 14.70 to trade at $1233.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.7842, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 4.2628.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.91.
