Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 2.03% or 122 points to trade at 6139 at the close. Meanwhile, Discount (TA:DSCT) added 1.80% or 12.7 points to end at 716.6 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 1.77% or 38 points to 2183 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 0.90% or 34 points to trade at 3753 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 0.78% or 130 points to end at 16480 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was down 0.69% or 26 points to 3740.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Poalim (TA:POLI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.77% or 38 to 2183.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.50% or 0.76 to $50.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.24% or 0.65 to hit $51.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1254.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.29% to 3.8190, while EUR/ILS fell 0.12% to 4.2045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.94.
