Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice (TA:NICE), which rose 2.86% or 680 points to trade at 24490 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 2.69% or 440 points to end at 16790 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 1.59% or 300 points to 19120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 4.83% or 187 points to trade at 3682 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) declined 1.24% or 460 points to end at 36510 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) was down 0.73% or 25 points to 3378.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 188 to 151 and 110 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.69% or 440 to 16790.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.65% or 1.16 to $44.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.15% or 0.96 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.35 to trade at $1278.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.7867, while EUR/ILS fell 0.84% to 4.3164.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 93.77.
