Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.22% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.81% or 1670 points to trade at 61170 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.37% or 18 points to end at 1331 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 1.34% or 20 points to 1510 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 0.87% or 700 points to trade at 80150 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 0.82% or 510 points to end at 61800 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 0.73% or 28 points to 3830.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 181 to 147 and 110 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $45.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $46.79 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 1.15 to trade at $1359.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.8780, while EUR/ILS fell 0.18% to 4.2834.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.61.
