Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 4.47% or 68 points to trade at 1590 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 3.64% or 2450 points to end at 69720 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 2.77% or 96 points to 3566 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which fell 1.05% or 270 points to trade at 25460 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 0.98% or 160 points to end at 16200 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was down 0.98% or 20 points to 2015.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 183 to 159 and 103 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.36% or 0.64 to $46.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 5.35 to trade at $1321.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7906, while EUR/ILS fell 0.30% to 4.2262.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 95.94.
