Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Industry, Manufacturing and Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which rose 34.55% or 57 points to trade at 222 at the close. Meanwhile, Cakra Mineral Tbk (JK:CKRA) added 28.33% or 17 points to end at 77 and Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk (JK:PSDN) was up 27.48% or 36 points to 167 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk (JK:INRU), which fell 10.00% or 31 points to trade at 279 at the close. Tigaraksa Satria Tbk (JK:TGKA) declined 9.93% or 420 points to end at 3810 and Indomobil Multi Jasa Tbk (JK:IMJS) was down 9.79% or 32 points to 295.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 161 to 143 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk (JK:PSDN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 27.48% or 36 to 167. Shares in Indomobil Multi Jasa Tbk (JK:IMJS) fell to all time lows; losing 9.79% or 32 to 295.
Crude oil for May delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $41.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.05% or 0.02 to hit $41.56 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.60 to trade at $1250.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.12% to 13177.5, while AUD/IDR rose 0.76% to 10038.20.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 95.62.
