Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Agriculture and Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk (JK:BEKS), which rose 34.12% or 29 points to trade at 114 at the close. Meanwhile, Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI) added 21.93% or 125.00 points to end at 695.00 and Bank Sinarmas Tbk (JK:BSIM) was up 20.00% or 120 points to 720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Asuransi Ramayana Tbk (JK:ASRM), which fell 10.00% or 310 points to trade at 2790 at the close. Exploitasi Energi Indonesia (JK:CNKO) declined 9.86% or 7 points to end at 64 and Bank Windu Kentjana Int (JK:MCOR) was down 9.80% or 15 points to 138.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 180 to 109 and 109 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk (JK:BEKS) rose to 52-week highs; up 34.12% or 29 to 114. Shares in Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 21.93% or 125.00 to 695.00. Shares in Bank Sinarmas Tbk (JK:BSIM) rose to all time highs; rising 20.00% or 120 to 720.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $45.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $47.21 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1322.55 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.11% to 13110.5, while AUD/IDR rose 0.32% to 9831.50.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 96.95.
