Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 3.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 13.92% or 0.044 points to trade at 0.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Korres (AT:KRRr) added 3.99% or 0.140 points to end at 3.650 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 2.11% or 0.040 points to 1.940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 10.77% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.174 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 9.86% or 0.014 points to end at 0.128 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 6.63% or 0.120 points to 1.690.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 18 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.07% or 12.60 to $1191.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.17% or 1.00 to hit $47.06 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.11% or 1.02 to trade at $49.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.0602, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8531.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 101.29.
