Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Household and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 7.91% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) added 7.54% or 0.04 points to end at 0.50 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 5.00% or 0.10 points to 2.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which fell 5.82% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.178 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 4.71% or 0.034 points to end at 0.719 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 4.42% or 0.050 points to 1.080.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 41 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.00% or 0.10 to 2.10.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.57% or 7.00 to $1222.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.33% or 0.16 to hit $48.78 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.91% or 0.44 to trade at $49.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7582.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.41.
