Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 9.56% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) added 6.03% or 0.35 points to end at 6.15 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 5.71% or 0.08 points to 1.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 10.97% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.138 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) declined 6.47% or 0.09 points to end at 1.30 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 5.00% or 0.001 points to 0.020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 36 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) fell to all time lows; falling 5.00% or 0.001 to 0.020.
Gold for December delivery was up 2.22% or 24.70 to $1138.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.10% or 0.49 to hit $44.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.10% or 0.53 to trade at $47.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.66% to 1.1268, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7411.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.71% at 95.67.
