Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Travel and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 9.38% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 4.09% or 0.021 points to end at 0.535 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 3.88% or 0.200 points to 5.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH), which fell 5.63% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.340 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 5.52% or 0.009 points to end at 0.155 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) was down 2.62% or 0.130 points to 4.830.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.85 to $1268.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.48% or 0.24 to hit $49.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.48% or 0.24 to trade at $50.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.0932, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.9002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 98.74.
