Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Banking and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 3.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which rose 15.52% or 0.043 points to trade at 0.320 at the close. Meanwhile, Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) added 10.23% or 0.009 points to end at 0.095 and Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) was up 9.30% or 0.004 points to 0.047 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 5.25% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.325 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 3.65% or 0.03 points to end at 0.87 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 3.29% or 0.023 points to 0.677.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 25.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.46% or 17.40 to $1176.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.77% or 1.02 to hit $56.72 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.12 to trade at $64.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.0866, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.7166.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 97.09.
