Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Household and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.72% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1580 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 6.83% or 0.110 points to end at 1.720 and Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) was up 3.87% or 0.060 points to 1.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which fell 9.93% or 0.2700 points to trade at 2.4500 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.20% or 0.005 points to end at 0.114 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 4.01% or 0.220 points to 5.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 51 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.46% or 6.15 to $1320.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.19% or 0.56 to hit $46.42 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 0.73 to trade at $48.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1146, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8514.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.99.
