Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.60% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.29% or 0.0130 points to trade at 0.1520 at the close. Meanwhile, Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) added 8.58% or 0.2300 points to end at 2.9100 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 7.44% or 0.090 points to 1.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 2.91% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.100 at the close. Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) declined 2.22% or 0.020 points to end at 0.880 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 1.73% or 0.090 points to 5.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 43 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.95 to $1266.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.30% or 1.19 to hit $50.63 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.53% or 1.33 to trade at $51.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.0917, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 98.38.
