Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Utilities and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.92% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.109 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 7.30% or 0.050 points to end at 0.735 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 7.02% or 0.008 points to 0.122 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.40% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.135 at the close. Korres (AT:KRRr) declined 5.06% or 0.160 points to end at 3.000 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was down 3.19% or 0.060 points to 1.820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 50 to 44 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Korres (AT:KRRr) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.06% or 0.160 to 3.000.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.35 to $1343.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.32% or 0.15 to hit $46.17 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $47.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1223, while EUR/GBP rose 0.96% to 0.8656.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.41.
