Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Technip (PA:TECF), which rose 2.21% or 1.31 points to trade at 60.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale (PA:SOGN) added 1.60% or 0.57 points to end at 36.47 and Danone SA (PA:DANO) was up 1.60% or 1.00 points to 63.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (PA:NOKIA), which fell 7.48% or 0.350 points to trade at 4.330 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (PA:SCHN) declined 3.00% or 1.86 points to end at 60.21 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) was down 2.65% or 5.90 points to 216.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were STMicroelectronics (PA:STM) which rose 10.52% to 7.984, Korian Medica SA (PA:KORI) which was up 4.66% to settle at 29.210 and Ipsos (PA:ISOS) which gained 4.02% to close at 29.51.
The worst performers were Nokia Oyj (PA:NOKIA) which was down 7.48% to 4.330 in late trade, Altran Technologies (PA:ALTT) which lost 3.97% to settle at 12.940 and Schneider Electric SE (PA:SCHN) which was down 3.00% to 60.21 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 362 to 305 and 116 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 0.06% to 17.94.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.75 to $1269.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.59% or 0.78 to hit $49.96 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.68% or 0.84 to trade at $50.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.0892, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8950.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 98.94.
