Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Financials and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.35%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP), which rose 1.75% or 4.10 points to trade at 239.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Valeo (PARIS:VLOF) added 1.65% or 2.40 points to end at 147.55 and Peugeot SA (PARIS:PEUP) was up 1.44% or 0.28 points to 19.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Accor (PARIS:ACCP), which fell 1.22% or 0.59 points to trade at 47.68 at the close. Technip (PARIS:TECF) declined 1.21% or 0.70 points to end at 57.00 and Vivendi (PARIS:VIV) was down 1.15% or 0.28 points to 23.55.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Adocia (PARIS:ADOC) which rose 9.21% to 68.800, Solocal Group (PARIS:LOCAL) which was up 5.17% to settle at 0.468 and Klepierre (PARIS:LOIM) which gained 2.57% to close at 40.74.
The worst performers were CGG (PARIS:GEPH) which was down 2.57% to 5.34 in late trade, Sopra Steria Group SA (PARIS:SOPR) which lost 1.92% to settle at 80.60 and Iliad (PARIS:ILD) which was down 1.85% to 206.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 466 to 431 and 60 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 3.49% to 25.28.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1172.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.12% or 0.07 to hit $59.63 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $63.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.1138, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.7081.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 95.81.
