Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 3.66% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.31% or 0.0700 points to trade at 2.1840 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell 0.86% or 0.26 points to end at 30.07 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 1.61% or 0.42 points to 25.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 13.33% or 0.386 points to trade at 2.510 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) declined 11.43% or 1.17 points to end at 9.03 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 5.54% or 0.480 points to 8.180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 156 to 28 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) fell to 5-year lows; falling 13.33% or 0.386 to 2.510. Shares in Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) fell to 3-years lows; falling 11.43% or 1.17 to 9.03. Shares in Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.54% or 0.480 to 8.180.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.75% or 0.54 to $30.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.31% or 0.64 to hit $26.82 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 4.99% or 59.60 to trade at $1254.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1350, while EUR/GBP rose 0.96% to 0.7849.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 95.45.
