Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 2.64% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which fell 0.86% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) fell 1.24% or 0.14 points to end at 11.18 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was down 1.26% or 0.30 points to 23.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV), which fell 5.78% or 1.87 points to trade at 30.48 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) declined 4.62% or 1.18 points to end at 24.34 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was down 4.46% or 1.39 points to 29.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 140 to 28 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.60% or 0.28 to $46.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.17% or 0.07 to hit $41.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 2.01% or 22.70 to trade at $1150.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1204, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.7146.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 95.95.
