Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.70% or 0.1860 points to trade at 4.1400 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) added 0.43% or 0.15 points to end at 34.76 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was down 0.07% or 0.02 points to 28.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV), which fell 10.75% or 3.92 points to trade at 32.54 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) declined 8.27% or 0.815 points to end at 9.045 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was down 4.49% or 1.79 points to 38.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 45 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.27% or 0.15 to $56.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $50.74 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1104.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.06% to 1.0939, while EUR/GBP rose 1.09% to 0.7032.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.77% at 97.43.
