Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.92% or 0.2750 points to trade at 7.2850 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.04% or 0.088 points to end at 4.394 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.31% or 0.030 points to 9.775 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 4.35% or 1.77 points to trade at 38.94 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 3.27% or 1.19 points to end at 35.21 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 3.17% or 0.93 points to 28.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 79 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.92% or 0.2750 to 7.2850. Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.17% or 0.93 to 28.40.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.10% or 0.94 to $43.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.21% or 0.96 to hit $42.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1223.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.06% to 1.0739, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8598.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.02% at 100.00.
