Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.31% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.69% or 0.1920 points to trade at 3.5640 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) added 0.64% or 0.10 points to end at 15.69 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.10% or 0.03 points to 28.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which fell 8.61% or 3.34 points to trade at 35.47 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) declined 5.04% or 1.06 points to end at 19.97 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 3.14% or 0.30 points to 9.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 123 to 50 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.01 to $37.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $35.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.50 to trade at $1229.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1393, while EUR/GBP rose 0.88% to 0.8052.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 94.59.
