Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.23% or 0.30 points to trade at 24.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell 0.36% or 0.12 points to end at 33.21 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 0.59% or 0.08 points to 13.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 5.09% or 0.182 points to trade at 3.396 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 3.68% or 0.96 points to end at 25.14 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 3.63% or 1.22 points to 32.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 132 to 52 and 1 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.38% or 1.11 to $45.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.63% or 1.13 to hit $41.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.30 to trade at $1080.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0801, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.7097.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 98.69.
