Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA), which rose 1.99% or 0.115 points to trade at 5.880 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) added 1.33% or 0.32 points to end at 24.43 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) was up 0.14% or 0.04 points to 27.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V), which fell 3.43% or 0.38 points to trade at 10.69 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 3.02% or 0.1060 points to end at 3.4040 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) was down 2.99% or 0.230 points to 7.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 48 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.11% or 1.52 to $47.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.77% or 0.79 to hit $43.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 3.90 to trade at $1107.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1313, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.7334.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 95.40.
