Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 9.24% or 2.79 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 4.20% or 0.24 points to end at 5.96 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 3.01% or 0.32 points to 10.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 6.22% or 0.505 points to trade at 7.620 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.99% or 0.1520 points to end at 3.6620 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 3.51% or 0.94 points to 25.82.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 60 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.34% or 0.64 to $47.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.80% or 0.37 to hit $45.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.20% or 27.85 to trade at $1294.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.1440, while EUR/GBP rose 0.69% to 0.7825.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 93.14.
